Freelance editing

As of August 2026, I offer three types of editorial services:

Developmental editing

A big-picture edit. Based on your messaging and content goals, you’ll get recommendations for what to add, move, adjust, cut back on, or expand on, and how to do it.

Copy editing

A sentence-level edit. You’ll get direct changes to your work (tracked or applied without markup, your preference) to make sure everything is grammatically correct, stays on brand, and aligns with your style.

Proofreading/QA

The last check before you share your work with the world. Depending on the content type, you’ll get things like fact-checks, formatting tweaks, and confirmation that your work is typo-free.

I can edit internal communications, marketing materials, job application materials, and more.

I don’t edit:

• Anything submitted for a grade

• Content that needs to pass an AI detection app (detectors are fallible, so I don’t believe in spending time to “beat” them)

• Anything AI-generated that hasn’t received a thorough human edit (I’d rather write something from scratch for you)
